Ledger’s customers stared at spreadsheets all day. The dashboard needed to make real-time financial data feel calm instead of overwhelming.
I designed the data-visualization system and built the frontend that renders it, from streaming updates to accessible color.

Challenge
Real-time data wants to flicker and jump. The challenge was keeping charts legible while values updated many times a second.
Careful animation, smoothing, and a considered refresh rhythm let the numbers breathe without lying.

Process
We defined a small set of chart archetypes, then pressure-tested them against the messiest real datasets we could find.
Every view was designed in light and dark, with number formatting and density that respected how analysts actually read.

Result
Time-to-insight dropped by half in usability testing, and tickets about ‘confusing numbers’ nearly vanished.
The visualization system is now the backbone of every screen in the product.
